For tassel style: I will need mane or tail hair about a pencils width in thickness, 6 inches in length per tassel.  Number of tassels will vary depending on the style you choose.

For cascade style:  I will need tail hair of about 14"-16" in length, about a  markers width in thickness for the triple braid, a pencils width in thickness for the single, and somewhere in between for the double.  The longer the hair you send, the more I can use on the necklace.  Single strand looks great as a unique pendant cord, or to hold one of the tassel styles listed above.  

You may choose to add a leather cord or sterling chain to the pendant.  If you want to add the pendant to a chain you already have, this saves you the cost.  The ends of the cords will be capped in sterling and a clasp added.
